On Saturday we travel up the heads of the valleys to Eugene Cross Park to take on Ebbw Vale in our next Principality Premiership league encounter. The boys followed up their win over Bridgend with an excellent performance at Neath last Friday evening and will go into this game with renewed confidence. Yes, it will be a big ask to go to Ebbw & get a result – play to our strengths, keep a disciplined approach and the team can upset the odds!
Our opponents are having a very good season. They climbed up to fourth in the Premiership after securing an excellent win over Cardiff last weekend coming from behind with the winning drop goal slotted very late on. They led the league in the early months winning seven games on the bounce including a big win over us in the first game of the season. In recent weeks, they’ve got back to winning ways having had a bit of a blip in late Oct, early Nov by earning wins over the Quins & Bargoed. They will be tough to beat but our recent results have improved a lot so I’m sure the boys will be looking forward to this challenge.
