Llanelli name team to face Quins

Hooker Llew Phillips-Taylor returns to lead Llanelli for their regional derby against Carmarthen Quins on Saturday (2,30pm).

Llanelli, who have a win and two defeats from the opening three rounds of the Indigo Premiership, have rung the changes following the disappointing setback at the hands of RGC 404 at Parc y Scarlets last weekend.

Behind the scrum, Llew Smith comes in at full-back with Jac Davies switching to the wing.

The young centre pairing of Iestyn Gwilliam and Eddie James continue in midfield, while Scarlets Academy duo Josh Phillips and Harri Williams pair up at half-back.

Up front Phillips-Taylor slots into the front row alongside Sam O’Connor and WillGriff John.

Christian Long partners Morgan Jones at lock, while Caleb Salmon gets the nod at blindside and Nathan Hart comes in at openside. Ben Williams, the scorer of two tries against RGC, continues at No. 8.

The Hutchings brothers, Joseph and Liam, are included on the bench as is experienced scrum-half Gareth George.
