Scarlets centre Joe Roberts is set for his first appearance of the season in Llanelli’s Indigo Premiership clash with Newport at the Newport Stadium on Saturday (2.30pm).
Roberts has recovered from a knee injury sustained at the end of last season and slots into midfield in a side showing four personnel changes from the one selected for the postponed match with Bridgend last weekend.
Roberts’ inclusion at inside centre sees Eddie James switch to the wing, while the experienced Gareth George gets the nod at scrum-half.
Up front Rhys Davies comes in at tight-head and Chris Long at lock, with Iwan Shenton named as captain once again.
Scrum-half Luke Davies has recovered from injury to take his place among the replacements.
