There was plenty of entertainment for the crowd to enjoy on this crisp afternoon at Parc y Scarlets. The visitors came out on top at the end so Llanelli are still searching for that first win. There were seven tries in all, four for the home side and three for the visitors. Llanelli got on the score sheet first after just two minutes. Centre Steff Hughes on permit from the Scarlets gliding thro the Quins defence to cross near the posts, outside half Josh Phillips adding the extras. Pressure from the Quins brought a very kickable penalty and the lively ten Jac Wilson calmly reduced the arrears. Llanelli 7-3 Quins. Both sides were keen to play and with referee Ian Davies letting the game flow the next quarter saw some enterprising rugby. Then the game changed in favour of the visitors. Two tries in four minutes, firstly prop Javan Sebastián and secondly hooker Rhys Lawrence both from forward drives opening up a good lead for the Quins. With Jac Wilson adding the extras the score line read Llanelli 7-24 Quins. Just before the half ended Llanelli got their second try of the match, this time it was Josh Phillips who finished off a nice move, he also kicked the conversion. At the half Llanelli 14-24  Quins. An early penalty goal from Wilson extended the visitors lead but Llanelli bounced back within minutes when replacement Wing Ryan Davies scampered in at the corner for the home sides third try. On 50 mins Llanelli 19-27 Quins. For most of the remainder of the half both sides had opportunities to score, particularly the visitors who were held out just short of the line on a couple of occasions. But, credit to Llanelli they continued to pressurise and got their fourth try from a quick lineout throw on the Quins 5 metre line. Replacement hooker Rhys Cherry crossed on 78 mins to set up a lively last couple of mins. At the end though it was the Quins that took the honours.
