The Principality Premiership is back, and what a season it promises to be! More TV coverage than ever before and with the league being reduced from sixteen teams to twelve and a potential relegation playoff for the twelfth placed side it all adds up to be the most exciting and tense season yet!
We kick off our campaign with a home fixture against Ebbw Vale this coming Saturday at the Parc, kick off will be at 2.30pm so why not come along to catch what I’m sure will be a full on clash. With so much at stake both teams will want to get the season off to a flying start to claim the points on offer.
We’ve signed a few new players this year who I’m sure you’ll get to know as the season progresses and we’ve also lost a few to other clubs. To those who’ve moved on, we wish them well, but more importantly to all our new recruits we hope they’ll make their mark playing for this famous club of ours.
Our visitors will provide a tough test, they’ve played a couple of pre-season friendlies and their head coach Greg Wood will have prepared a team who undoubtedly bring a strong, brave and disciplined defence, who will no doubt also bring an attacking edge.
Of course Paul and our new coaching team will have worked hard over the close season to prepare our side for this challenging season and I’m sure they’ll be well up for this and all our Premiership games this season.
So it all kicks off on Saturday, we look forward to seeing you all at Parc-y-Scarlets.
