Team announcement v Swansea

Llanelli will take on Swansea on Saturday with both sides looking for their first victory of the Indigo Premiership Cup campaign.

Head Coach Paul Fisher has made five changes to the starting XV that faced Llandovery, at Church Bank, last weekend.

Jonny Lewis (centre) and Luke Davies (scrum half) come in to the backline with Morgan MacRae (hooker), Nathan Hart (flanker) and Ryan Jenkins (number 8) bolstering the pack.

Fisher is confident that his side is heading in the right direction, despite the opening three defeats of the campaign.

Looking back at last weekend’s Scarlets derby against Llandovery he said; “Defensively we didn’t set the tone in the opening 20 minutes. We allowed Llandovery far too much time and space on the ball and unfortunately ended up paying for it.

“We got back into the game at one stage but it’s fair to say that Llandovery were better than us on the day.”

He went on to say; “We realise that we’ve played three lost three, and Bridgend was probably the one we let get away, but we’re improving weekly and I feel that it’s only a matter of time before it clicks.

“It’s a young group, with a sprinkling of experience, and the boys are buoyant and training well. It’s just a case of delivering a complete performance on a Saturday.”
