Phillips and Tuipulotu start for Llanelli against Drovers

Llanelli return to Parc y Scarlets looking to build on their impressive win at Pontypridd as they take on regional rivals Llandovery in front of the S4C cameras on Thursday evening (7.30pm).

Tom Phillips makes his first start for 14 months after recovering from a long-term knee injury. Phillips takes over the armband and starts at lock.

The backline has a familiar look with Academy products Jac Davies, Iestyn Gwilliam, Eddie James, Josh Phillips and Harri Williams all included in the starting XV.

Up front Sam O’Connor and Taylor Davies continue in the front row with Will Couch drafted in at tighthead.

Phillips packs down alongside Chris Long in an experienced second-row pairing, while there is a new-look back row of Iwan Shenton, Nathan Hart and Carwyn Tuipulotu, who makes his first appearance of the season.

Llanelli currently sit seventh in the Indigo Premiership table with two wins from six matches.
