Llanelli ready for Boxing Day derby

Llanelli take on old rivals Swansea in their third meeting of the season on Boxing Day (1pm ko).

It’s one win apiece so far between the West Wales clubs, who are both celebrating 150 years of their history this season.

Llanelli’s last two Indigo Premiership fixtures have been postponed because of frozen pitches in Newport and Bridgend, but with the weather getting milder all roads lead to St Helen’s.

Iwan Shenton skippers a side showing a handful of changes to the one selected for the scheduled game at the Brewery Field.

Full-back Jac Davies comes into a back three that includes Jack Price and Eddie James, who have both featured in midfield this season.

Corey Baldwin and Joe Roberts link up in midfield, with Scarlets talent Roberts set for his first appearance of the campaign following his recovery from a knee injury.

There is also a welcome return for scrum-half Luke Davies (pictured), who partners Josh Phillips at half-back.

Up front, Morgan Jones is drafted into the second row with Shenton switching to a back row alongside Dan Davis and Ben Williams.
