As you all know we have had to switch our game next weekend to Bargoed Park in our next round of Principality Premiership fixtures. As the Scarlets are playing at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, we will now take on Bargoed RFC at their ground, kicking off at 2.30pm. For those supporters who want to catch both matches you should have enough time to catch all the action as the Scarlets kick off their Heineken cup tie at 5.30pm.
After another gritty performance last week against the Quins the boys go into this fixture with confidence on the up! It was a really good comeback in the second half at the Park and one in which the boys fully deserved. They stuck at it for the full eighty+ minutes and showed terrific team spirit. If they are to get a result against the Bulls on Saturday more of the same will be required.
As for our opponents, I’m sure they will provide a warm welcome both on & off the pitch. A little like ourselves, their results haven’t gone their way for the most part so far to date. They secured a fine win against Cross Keys a few weeks ago, then narrowly missed out against the Quins. Then last Saturday in what was a very entertaining game they once again missed out losing by a couple of points against Bedwas. By all accounts it was a game where the result was in the balance right up to the final whistle and perhaps the Bulls let that one get away. So coming into this game they will be even more motivated to get back to winning ways – they will undoubtedly bring a massive challenge to the young Llanelli side.
So another exciting Premiership clash looms, can the boys make it three in a row! Look forward to seeing you there.
