Llanelli travelled away to Aberavon for their penultimate Away Principality Premiership fixture.
Aberavon, were defending an unbeaten home record for 2015 and the writing was on the wall from the first minute that they were not likely going to lose that status.
Lethargic defence saw the home team run in two converted tries within nine minutes on the clock. Rob Dudley-Jones (2nd) & Richard Carter (9th) scoring, both converted by outside half Cameron Clement.
Llanelli hit back when a neat kick through the flat ‘Wizards ‘ defence by Stuart Morris was read by Llanelli wing Justin James, who touched down which Morris converted. Stuart then added two well-struck penalties to bring Llanelli to within a point.
But it was the home team that were controlling the game and a penalty from Clement and an unconverted try from No 8 Ben Thomas ended the half Aberavon 22-13 Llanelli.
Another two penalties from Clement kept the scoreboard ticking and they finished the game as they started with a further two converted tries from Richard Carter and Joe Tomalin-Reeves .
Despite some sterling work from Ed Price & Kyle Evans (pictured) Llanelli will be bitterly disappointed with their performance. Much improvement is needed for the next home game against Pontypridd (on Sunday 22nd March kick off 2.30pm at Parc Y Scarlets) that will be undoubtedly be a far bigger challenge to meet.
