Cross Keys entertained Llanelli RFC in the Principality Premiership on a saturated Pandy Park pitch.
After 2 minutes Llanelli opened the scoring against the strong wind with a penalty from full back Dion Jones.
Keys equalized with a fine drop goal from Dorian Jones and he increased the lead with a penalty after 20 minutes played.
The big home pack were in control at scrum time but Llanelli were completing well against the elements and things looked promising as Referee Ian Davies blew for half time, with only three points separating the teams.
The first 20 minutes of the second saw the home team dominating possession and territory despite playing against the worsening weather conditions. Outside half Dorian Jones duly responded for his forwards efforts by adding another two penalties and his second drop goal of the game.
Llanelli finally started to get some second half territory when they introduced replacement half backs Justin James and Aled Roberts.
With 9 minutes remaining James spotted the gap after good phase play and Duane Eager finished off with an excellent and only try of the evening. Dion Jones added the extras but the Keys held out for the four Principality Premiership points.
For their efforts Llanelli got a valuable losing bonus point to still keep them in the top three race.
Next game is the away SWALEC Cup game against Cardiff Met scheduled for next Saturday 15th Feb.
