Llanelli
2013/2014 Principality Premiership
Llanelli 13 v 9 Bedwas
02 March 2014 - Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli
Bedwas

Match Report

Home win

In atrocious weather conditions, Llanelli played Bedwas in the Principality Premiership and fair play to both teams, they did their very best to play open rugby in their efforts to entertain their respective supporters.

Llanelli had the dream start getting on the scoreboard within 5 minutes with an opportunist try from centre Gareth Owen that Josh Lewis converted.

Outside half Richard Powell kicked the first of his three penalties in the 16th minute only for Llanelli’s Josh Lewis to extend his teams lead with a well struck penalty. Before half time Powell kicked his second and the game was again back in the balance.

Aled Roberts made his home debut replacing the injured Josh Lewis on half time and put in some nice touches.  However, such was the deteriorating weather conditions both teams were making unforced errors and one try from either side could win the match.

Unfortunately neither side never really threatened each other’s try line and an exchange of penalty goals by Dion Jones and Richard Powell was the only scores of the second half.
