2013/2014 Principality Premiership
Llanelli 27 v 3 Aberavon
26 October 2013 - Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli

Match Report

Not quite magic

In atrocious conditions  Llanelli defeated  Aberavon at Parc Y Scarlets in the  S4C televised Principality Premiership game.

Both sides strived to play attacking rugby under the poor weather conditions and the ‘couch spectators’ should perhaps not under estimate the skill and talent from both teams.

Josh Lewis opened the scoring with a penalty and then two tries from veteran hooker Craig Hawkins and man of the match Rhodri Jones looked as if the floodgates might open for the home team.

However the Wizards showed their consistent Premiership Pedigree and maybe were unlucky only to have three points to their name from a Paul Smithson penalty .

In a similar second half period, Llanelli’s Josh Lewis opened the scoring with another fine penalty  and talented scrum half Aled Davies touched down, Josh again converted , which were the final points on the scoreboard in a comfortable home win.
