We kept our play-off place hopes alive in the Principality Premiership with a hard-fought win at Parc-y-Scarlets over Bedwas last Saturday.
The victory keeps us third in the table, and just four points behind Bedwas, though we have a game in hand.
Bedwas had the majority of possession early on but, against the run of play, Llanelli took the lead on 13 minutes via a Nick Reynolds try, which was converted by Jordan Williams.
Bedwas continued to dominate possession but could not break through. Ethan Davies missed a penalty chance midway though the half before hitting a post with a second attempt. Half Time Llanelli 7 Bedwas 0
Bedwas finally got on the board early in the second half via a Davies penalty after the home side were caught off side.
He added a second penalty after the home side were again adjudged offside.
Davies had a chance to put Bedwas ahead after 75 minutes with a long-range kick, but it fell just short of the posts. Some solid defence at the end kept the visitors out which enabled the hosts to claim a vital four points.
