Llanelli travelled to Llandovery confident they could topple the Principality Premiership pacesetters at sunny Church Bank.
Four penalties from Jordan Williams and one from James Garland reflected the way the game had gone, with both defences dominating. However, in injury time and against the run of play Llandovery struck with a good opportunist try from Burry Port boy, Adam Warren.
The second half started like the first and when outside half Owen Williams struck a huge 55 metre to lead 15- 8 and it seemed everything was going to plan.
Then Llandovery hit the former Champions with a devastating six minute burst of counter attacking and support play to record three tries through Owen Evans(56th minute),Shaun Jones(58th minute)and the bonus point try from MoM Shaun Miles(62nd minute) followed by replacement Cerith Rees converting two of the three tries.
Cerith Rees added a penalty in the 75th minute for a commanding lead and disappointing Llanelli did manage to breach the determined Llandovery defence with a good try and conversion from Kristian Phillips just before the final whistle.
