2011/2012 Principality Premiership
Cardiff 18 v 20 Llanelli
29 October 2011 - Cardiff Arms Park, Cardiff

Match Report

Hard fought win at the Arms Park

Llanelli were well  led by centre Johnny Lewis against Cardiff at the Arms Park in this Principality Premiership match.

Two tries from wingers Iolo Evans and Justin James were both converted by Jordon Williams who also kicked two penalties.

Cardiff’s Rhys Patchell kicked six penalties for the home team and could have won the match with a couple of easy missed penalties.

It was good to see big second row Lou Reed  playing a leading role in the first half, who now could be in contention for a place in the Scarlets squad in their top clash against the Ospreys next Saturday night

Absent Captain Adam Powell was delighted to get back to winning ways with another good away win, however,  he and his squad  will know that  next Saturday they will have to make further significant improvements to be able to avenge the mauling they received at Aberavon last season.
