Match Report

Disappointing Performance

On 70 minutes Llanelli were down 33-6, conceding another five tries to a far more competitive Cross Keys team in this Principality Premiership encounter.

Undoubtedly the introduction of young Academy product Daniel Thomas in the final quarter lifted the team, scoring an excellent individual try and showing some of his more experienced team-mates the art and attitude in how to contest and protect ball in the tackle/breakdown area.

Llanelli had been outmuscled for the majority of the match and could only muster two penalties from ‘class act ‘ Jordon Williams who also converted both tries from Thomas and replacement wing Darren Fender who was on permit from Bonymaen RFC.

Cross Keys try scorers were Phil Williams, Tom Lampard, Rich Cornock, Marcus Johnstone and Leon Andrews with Sam Mills kicking four conversions.

Next Saturday Llanelli are away to Cardiff in the Principality Premiership with a 2:30pm kick off @ The Arms Park
