2011/2012 Principality Premiership
Neath 46 v 17 Llanelli
15 October 2011 - The Gnoll, Neath

Match Report

Llanelli go down

Unlike ‘lucklessWales,’ Llanelli had no complaints at the Gnoll in the Principality Premiership, losing comprehensively 46 – 17.

Injuries to Morgan Haylock , debutant Llywrach Ap Myrddin and inspirational skipper Adam Powell hampered events, to the already over-stretched  squad.

Reliable Johnny Lewis opened the scoring for Llanelli from a charge down which he converted and also added a well struck penalty for a 10 – 3 lead on 8 minutes.

However, the Premiership leaders hit Llanelli for six, with touchdowns from Kevin James (3),Nathan Brew, Alec Jenkins and Dai Langdon who also kicked 5 conversions and 2 penalties.

Back rower, Llyr Griffiths getting his first start in the Premiership, looks a real find and was awarded for his efforts with a good second half try which Lewis converted, as Llanelli left  the Gnoll pointless.

Next Saturday Llanelli are on the road again with a switch of fixtures, to play Cross Keys at Pandy Park, kick off 2:30pm
