In a very entertaining game Llanelli ran out winners in a six try game that see's them go back to the top of the Premiership with five games remaining. The final score at 31 - 27 really say's it all, with the home side dominant for the first 50minutes, followed by a rally by Bridgend. Once again, Outside half Luke Richards had his kicking boots on with 4 penalty goals and two conversions, coupled with an astute kicking game really made the difference between winning an losing this game. Llanelli made all the early running an scored two tries in the first half, one by wing Nick Jones, the other by Nick Reynolds. At the half the home side led by 21-6, the points coming from the boot of fullback Gareth David for the visitors. Just after half time Llanelli extended their lead with a try by powerful centre Matthew Brayley and at 28-6 it looked likely that the home side would secure a bonus point win. But in fairness to Bridgend they battled back and scored three tries in the space of 15minutes midway through the half to set a thrilling finale to the game. In the end the boot of Luke Richards settled things and secured the points for the home side.
