We have been asked not to use the Parc y Scarlets pitch for our game against RGC so we have had permission from the WRU on this occasion to hold the game at the training field adjacent to the Barn. The game will kick off at 2.30pm and tickets will be on sale at the entrance to the training field. Bar facilities will be available both pre and post match for all supporters in the Heart & Soul from 12.30pm onward.
So, the boys take on another big challenge this week but after the performance they put in at the Wern last Saturday they know what they have to do to secure a win this time round. For those of us who were at Merthyr witnessed one of those extraordinary games that come along now and again. Both sides totally committed and putting on a real show of what the Premiership is all about. The fact that we came up short at the end was hard to bare, but that's how it goes sometimes and you have to take it on the chin. The important thing though, is to take that level of performance forward as we know having played our visitors on two occasions already this season they pose a very big threat.
I'm sure the squad will be well up for it and will have worked hard this week preparing for the game.
We welcome RGC to Llanelli for the second time this season and we hope they understand the reason why we had to move the game. They lie in fourth spot in the league having played just the five games so far, winning four and drawing the other. Having lost out in the National cup at Ebbw Vale their sights will be firmly on winning the Premiership and with games in hand are handily placed to push on from here. They turned us over in November at the 'parc' and will once again present a really tough challenge for the boys come Saturday. It will be good to meet up with the former Scarlets coaching team of Mark Jones and Phil John once again.
Our apologies that we've had to move the game but I'm sure you'll all agree that it's for the right reasons and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.
