Match Preview

Derby Day at Parc Y Scarlets this Saturday

We reach the half way point in the Principality Premiership West group fixtures this week. We're back at the 'Parc' again on Saturday for what should be another full on Premiership fixture. The game kick's off at 2.30pm and as always we look forward to hosting Swansea RFC as they make the trip across the Loughor Bridge.

The boys had another terrific win last week against Aberavon, once again earning the bonus point by scoring four tries in the process. They really put a shift in by suppressing the attacking threat of the Wizards - the tackle count put in was impressive. I'm sure Phil and the coaching team will be emphasising how important that aspect of the game is! Team spirit looks to be really good with all the squad pulling together so I'm sure they'll be busting a gut to secure another 'W' before our early season league break.

As always we will give our visitors a very warm welcome. Their results so far this season may not give a fair reflection of how well they've played, winning the one game against Bridgend and earning a well deserved home draw against RGC. They may sit at the wrong end of the West Group but that will count for nothing come Saturday. The All Whites will come to Parc-y-Scarlets with one aim in mind - to turn us over and get a second win under their belts.
Recent matches between these two sides have been really close high scoring games with tries being scored from all areas of the pitch! Not sure whether we'll get the same again this time round but I'm sure both sides will try to play an exciting brand of rugby to keep all the supporters who come along well entertained.

There's a lot of rugby action across the country on Saturday, culminating in the Scarlets Ospreys fixture later in the day. So why not make a day of it, support the RFC and then catch all the other action in the Quinnell lounge.
Look forward to seeing you there.
