This week we're again in Principality West Group action. On Saturday we travel to the Gnoll to take on Neath RFC in the fifth round of group matches. The game has a scheduled kick off time of 2.30pm and we looked forward to the warm welcome that the home team will provide both on and off the field.
Everyone at the Brewery Field last week came away disappointed and in many ways frustrated with the result. Midway through the second half we seemed in control but a big call went against the boys when on their opponents line and as they say 'the rest is history'. Another tough lesson for our young side to learn from, but they will pick themselves up and build for the Neath challenge to come.
Our opponents have started their campaign well, two good wins at home against Swansea and the Quins, followed by a couple of very close games that, on the day went against them. Having said that, the game at Church Bank last week against the Drovers may have gone the other way had Neath been a little more clinical in their finishing. They are a well organised side with a very good scrum and have pace aplenty behind so can cause problems for any side given half a chance.
We've had some really tough games in recent seasons with Neath and I would expect nothing less on Saturday. Look forward to seeing you there, and as always many thanks for your continued support.
