After the disappointing result against the Drovers, we are on the road this week. This Saturday we travel along the M4 to take on Bridgend Ravens at the newly named Morganstone Brewery Field.
The game will kick off at the usual time of 2.30pm, so with the Scarlets playing the previous evening in Ulster, why not take the opportunity to come along to catch the latest round in the Principality Premiership West group.
The boys really worked hard last week against the Drovers and really put their opponents under a lot of pressure, particularly in the 2nd half. On this occasion, other than the late score they weren't able to breach the well organised visitors defensive line. There were occasions when perhaps the option to go for goal could have been taken but it's still early days and as I've said you can't fault the boys commitment. I think what is clear is that there's a terrific team spirit in the camp and it bodes well for the future.
Our opponents Bridgend have had a difficult start to their campaign. Having said that, they've been well in it in all their three games so far. In the last two fixtures it appears as though indiscipline have cost them. At this level, yellow cards, particularly late on in games really hurt and I'm sure that message will well and truly be hammered home by their coaching team in the build up to this game. Make no mistake, they will be 'all guns blazing ' come Saturday to get their first league win under their belts.
Games at the Brewery Field have always been keenly contested and I'm expecting more of the same again this time round. Com'on Boys let's get back to winning ways!
Look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
