Away Semi Final Action at Rodney Parade

After our victory over the Black & Ambers a week last Saturday we had to wait to see how the remaining Tier2 fixtures panned out. Cross Keys secured their spot in the play offs by winning at Rodney Parade a few days after we secured our win. Then, on the Friday evening Neath took on Bridgend and won a close contest to also secure their spot whilst Bridgend failed to get any points from the game which meant we qualified in fourth place. So, it's Semi Finals time and we once again travel back to Rodney Parade to take on Newport RFC for a spot in the Tier 2 play off final.
Newport won their first five fixtures in the Tier2 schedule so had already qualified for the playoffs, so perhaps when we played them they maybe took their foot off the gas so to speak because the boys really outplayed them on the Day scoring four tries to nil. I'm sure the semi will be a much closer affair. After a poor start to our Tier2 fixtures, losing the first three games at Keys, then two home fixtures against Neath and Bridgend, our play off hopes looked doomed. But to the squads credit they've turned it round and having secured four wins on the bounce can now go into this fixture with a renewed confidence and belief that another win is possible.
So, we can all look forward to our visit along the M4 where I'm sure we will receive a very warm welcome both on and off the field. So, why not come along to support the semi pros in their quest to make the Tier2 play off final, if you do, I'm sure we'll catch some terrific action.
As always we're extremely grateful for all your support.
