It's Fosters Cup action again this week as we host fellow regionalists Llandovery RFC. The game on Wednesday evening will kick off at 7.15pm and will take place not at the main stadium but at the training pitch as you approach Parc-y-Scarlets on the left hand side. Like last week let's hope that the weather remains dry for everyone who comes along to see the up and coming talent from across the region.
We earned our first win in this seasons competition against Swansea and I'm sure the squad took a lot of positives from their performance. So they should come into this return fixture with some renewed confidence but they will have to play really way to turn over the Drovers who are having a fine season. They beat us at Church bank a number of weeks ago and will no doubt fancy their chances again.
The Drovers lie in second spot in the group with two wins from their three games played so far. Maybe somewhat unexpectedly they lost out last Wednesday at home to the Quins so will want to put pressure on the group leaders by claiming the points on offer.
So, another big test for the young Llanelli side who I'm sure will relish this pre Xmas challenge, another win and they can really look forward to the big St Helens Boxing Day Premiership clash!!
In terms of ticketing arrangements, you can purchase tickets at the entrance to the training field, £3 for adults, £2 over 60's and entrance is free for u16's. A free mini programme will also be available. Refreshments will be on sale both at the field and in the Heart & Soul Bar pre & post match. Free car parking can be had at the stadium.
On a final note, can I on behalf of everyone at Llanelli RFC thank you all for your continued support and wish you and your families a very happy Christmas.
Look forward to seeing you Wednesday evening.
