Match Preview

Principality Premiership home game

We're back at the 'Parc' this week in our next Principality Premiership league game. This Friday evening we host Cross Keys and can look forward to another exciting eighty minutes of Semi pro action. A warm welcome to everyone who comes along for what is a crucial fixture with both sides looking to push on for that top eight finish come the new year.
I said a couple of weeks ago that we needed to see an improvement in results - well things have certainly improved. A good away result in Colwyn bay followed up last week with a hard fought win at the Brewery field. The squad set up was tested to the full last week with a number of young local boys picked to represent Llanelli, indeed ten changes to the side who took the field against RGC! They didn't disappoint, they out played the Improving Bridgend side and with LV action again this week, they could feature again against Cross Keys. We shall see.
Our opponents have had a mixed bag of results so far but seem to have turned the corner after two really good Premiership wins. The beat Bargoed a couple of weeks ago and then last week at Pandy Park they took on an beat RGC in a really competitive game. Reading the match report, it read much much what you'd would expect to see, power, pace and a very organised side.
As I've said, this is a crucial game for both sides, who ever wins it can look to push on and challenge for that top eight spot, let's hope it's the home side that continues to improve!
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all come Friday night.
