We're back in Principality Premiership action this weekend and are once again on the road. This time we travel along the M4 eastbound to the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field to take on Bridgend Ravens RFC. To avoid the Wales Argentina game we kick off this fixture at 1pm so for those of us who want to catch both games it should be another exciting rugby action day. I'm sure our hosts will provide the usual warm welcome to all both on and off the field.
The boys really worked hard last week in Colwyn Bay and perhaps were a little unlucky not to come away with more than the draw. Having lost our previous four games I did say last week that if we are to get our season up and running we need to see a 'C' change in results. Whilst last weeks result was a step in the right direction, this game against the Ravens will again be a tough ask. Excuse the pun, but the Ravens are really flying right now and they will go into this game on the back of one of their best winning sequences for a while. So, another tough away fixture but we had some success in recent seasons at the Bridgend Ford Brewery field and there's no reason why we can't again this time round.
Of course our opponents on Saturday will have nothing on their mind other than another win to maintain their current hot form. After a disappointing start to the season results have turned round, three Premiership victories and two Premier challenge cup wins have created a real buzz around the club. Last week they turned over Merthyr with an emphatic victory borne out of both quality attack and defensive rugby so as I've said confidence will be high in the home camp.
So why not come along to support the semi's, it should be a cracking game.
See you there and don't forget 1pm kick off !
