We make our first league visit to Parc Eirias this weekend as we take on RGC1404 in the Principality Premiership. I'm sure our hosts will provide a warm welcome to all the players , officials and supporters who make the journey north to Colwyn Bay. The game is scheduled to kick off at 12 noon in order that everyone can then catch the Wales v Australia game. It looks like a fan zone will be available with a big screen so everyone should be well catered for on the day.
Well, another disappointment for us as we came unstuck against Merthyr last week, it really was a game of two halves! The boys really fronted up well in the first forty but the visitors upped their game in the second period and proved to strong for the home side. This was another tough day for the squad and make no mistake we're in for another one come Saturday. The boys need to continue to work on their game plans and really look at decision making at crucial times. We all know the talent is there but we could do with a win to get our season up and running so to speak.
As I've said, this will be another tough day for us. RGC have taken to Premiership rugby on the face of it with relative ease. They've won six of their seven starts, lie in third spot in the table and their only reverse was at the hands of current unbeaten side and league leaders Aberavon who turned them over a month or so ago at Parc Eirias. Apart from that one defeat they've played some really good stuff under head coach the former Scarlet favourite Mark Jones. Their last victory coming at home last week where they thumped Bargoed by 50pts! So just like Merthyr, winning rugby breeds confidence and they go into this fixture full of it!
So a big ask for the Llanelli semi pros but we're due a performance, let's see if the boys can pull off a big result to get us back on track.
Hope to see you there.
