Let's hope the weather is kinder to us this week as we travel the short distance to the Gnoll tomorrow (Tuesday 19th Jan) evening to take on Neath in the Fosters Challenge Cup.
This should have been our last group stage game, but with our game against the Quins having been called off due to the bad weather there is still a lot of rugby to be played in this competition. As I've previously said this competition provides the coaches of both sides to experiment somewhat with a mix of new and established regional talent. With the likelihood of neither side making the final stages of the competition we should be in for an exciting clash between two sides who like to play expansive rugby.
Neath are having a difficult time in the Premiership, but have done reasonably well in the Fosters Challenge and had a good win last Saturday against Championship side Bargoed in the Swalec Cup, so will be looking to build some momentum going into the second half of the season. Having lost in both the Premiership and in this competition, Neath will want to put that right by securing a win against their West Wales opponents on home turf.
So, it's the Gnoll next for the semi pro's to ply their trade - Look forward to seeing you there.
