2015/2016 Principality Premiership
Neath 42 v 22 Llanelli
16 April 2016 - The Gnoll, Neath

Match Preview

Gnoll Challenge Next Up

In our penultimate Principality Premiership game we travel to the Gnoll to take on Neath RFC . We have already faced Neath three times this season [Twice in the Fosters Challenge Cup] so this will be our fourth clash and one thing is for sure, the Gnoll has an excellent playing surface and both sides will look to play some attractive rugby so we could be in for a cracking end of season encounter.

With just this and the Newport game left the boys will be looking to go out on a high with a couple of wins, yes it will be tough but that’s what this league is all about. At times, we’ve played some really good stuff this season but alas on other occasions like a couple of weeks ago against Bedwas I think we’ll all agree that we have under achieved. Forget league positions, Neath will present another stern test. They are still looking for their first league win of the season and nothing will spur them more than a win over their West Wales opponents on Saturday. So, we will have to maintain our current levels of commitment and more if we are to claim the points on offer.

Neath are having a difficult season but are competing very well in all their games. Although results have not gone their way so far, it’s this fixture that can galvanise a team. Neath v Llanelli was always one of those fixtures that had that something extra. Whilst things may have changed over the years, its still one of those league games that both sides and supporters really look forward to. Neath’s performances of late have improved and whilst they’re coming to the end of a really disappointing campaign they will be striving to give their home supporters a much needed win.

So, why not come along to the Gnoll and catch some Premiership action. As always we appreciate all your support and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
