Seems like an age ago now but we are back in action on Parc y Scarlets this coming
Our opponents in this Principality Premiership clash are top Gwent side Cross Keys RFC
and we look forward to hosting them and all their supporters in what will hopefully be
an exciting semi pro encounter.
It's been more than two months since we last played at home and I'm sure our players and
coaches are very much looking forward to taking on one of the top sides in the
Premiership on home turf.
The boys are on a bit of a run at the moment having won our last four games in a
row, all away from home, so credit to the squad and the permit players drafted in to
represent us in the Fosters Challenge trophy. Our last two Premiership games at
Bridgend and Cardiff saw us achieve two high scoring wins so it's a case of can the
boys continue that form against one of the best sides in the league so far this year.
They turned us over at Pandy Park back in September and will undoubtedly pose a
big threat to us once again come Saturday. Having said that, I'm sure the boys will be
well up for the challenge and know full well that they will have to be on top form to
secure a first win over 'Keys' for a couple of years.
Our visitors are going really well in the league and had it not been for a somewhat
indifferent start to their season (they lost their first two league games) they would
be in top spot. They lie just a few points behind leaders Llandovery but have two
games in hand and will, I'm sure be eyeing up the prospect of finishing at the top of pile come April.
They've beaten us at the 'Parc' on the last two occasions and will be looking to keep their ten
league game unbeaten run going by securing the double over us.
So, it's good to get back in action at home on Saturday afternoon. Yes, a big ask for us but as we've
seen so far this season anything can happen on the day. As always were extremely grateful for
your support and look forward to seeing you on the weekend.
