We're back in Principality Premiership action on Boxing Day with a trip along the M4 corridor to take on Bridgend Ravens at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field. Let's hope the weather improves a bit over the next few days as this fixture almost always produces some attractive rugby with both sides looking to play an expansive game. Let's hope the playing surface holds up.
Our recent form has been optimistic despite going down in the Foster Challenge games at Llandovery. However, our young squad did show the kind of commitment that will be required if we are to pick our next 'W'. It will be tough to get the result but on our day we can play some attractive, winning rugby.
Bridgend Ravens are having a similar season to ourselves, they have won just the one game in recent weeks, a terrific win over Pontypridd in the Fosters Challenge. They got turned over against the Aberavon Wizards in their last two games so like ourselves will be striving hard to get back to winning ways.
In late October/early November they earned four league wins on the bounce (very similar to ourselves) but with only that solitary win over 'Ponty' they will be looking to regain that winning formula.
So with both sides looking for that elusive win, let's hope the weather is kinder to us than it has been of late and we can catch some exciting full on Premiership action.
Finally, as Christmas approaches can I on behalf of Llanelli RFC wish everyone a very Merry Christmas/ Nadolig Llawen.
