Pontypridd RFC, a massive challenge given our result against them back in September! Nevertheless, we can expect a warm welcome both on and off the field as we enter the festive season.
In our recent games a bit of a theme has developed, namely good pressure in the right areas of the field. Call it what you will, maybe a lack of composure or inexperience, either way the boys can't seem to turn pressure into points. I'm sure they will be looking at that aspect in the build up to the 'Ponty' game because, at Sardis road we have to make the most of all opportunities created. We have to go back to the Bedwas game in October for our last Premiership win when the boys were superb on the day, more like that will be required if we are to stand any chance of turning over the current champions.
Looking at Ponty's recent results would suggest something's amiss! Believe it or not, they have lost their lost four matches, something that's not happened in a very long time. - 2006/7 season!
In fact. So, they will be smarting and will want to try and repeat their early season form and do the double over us. They have slipped a couple of positions in the league and currently sit in fourth spot so the pressure will be on them to get back to winning ways.
It's very difficult to win in Sardis, but if the boy's can front up, who knows what might happen.
Hope to see you come Saturday, weather permitting !
