We travel up to Church Bank this weekend for an early kick off [1pm] against our fellow regionalists Llandovery. With the Scarlets game kicking off at around 5pm, this Principality Premiership clash has been brought forward to allow the supporters to catch both games should they wish to do so. It makes for an excellent kick off to the New Year.
If our previous clashes are anything to go by we should be in for a super game of rugby. Last week we entertained Bridgend and put in our best performance of the season so far, although it must be said that our visitors played some attractive rugby themselves, but couldn’t live with the pace of our backline. That Bonus point win was just what the boy’s needed after a number of defeats on the road. Having said that, the Drovers is a very tough place to go and win, they will be all guns blazing to come out on top in front of their home supporters.
Llandovery travelled to the Quins last week and came away empty handed. Surprisingly, they have not had the best of starts to the season and will look to 2015 to get back on track and move up the table. There will be no greater incentive on their part to start off with a win against Llanelli!
So with both sides looking to improve their current league positions, it makes for a super fixture to start the new year off. As I mentioned the game has an early kick off so let’s get up to Church Bank to support the Semi’s.
Can I on behalf of all at Llanelli RFC wish you a very Happy New Year.
As always, look forward to seeing you all.
